Christmas Crochet Crafternoon

Tue, 30th November 2021 2pm-5pm (3 hours) run online.

Over a three hour festive workshop learners will develop their crochet skills to create a glittering gift collection using a selection of iridescent acrylic yarn in sugared almond shades, with frost evoking acrylic crystal beads for extra shine!

Learners will begin by creating a decorative tag set of a winter tree and accompanying festive star to build their crochet confidence, progressing to making a miniature traditional Christmas stocking – perfectly ready to gift, or perhaps keep for themselves…

Next, learners will turn their hands to shining silver baubles, fashioning them into unique crochet decorations to spread sparkle and seasonal spirit.

Finally on this winter wonder workshop, learners will crochet delicate snowflakes and be introduced to stitch techniques to make them increasingly intricate and as unique as their creators.

Over the session we will workshop different ways to display and enjoy the sparkling stitched creations learners make.

Skill level – as this workshop is focused on building skill and technique, there is a skill requirement of having previously attended a Groundwork crochet course or of being able to confidently crochet a granny square.

Learners will need a video call friendly device, their Crochet Crafternoon Parcel, and to source a 4mm crochet hook, small scissors for snipping yarn, and a pen for making notes.

The yarn provided is acrylic and so is vegan friendly!

£30 (no concessions) This course is online, material parcels can be picked up from Groundwork from 3 weeks before. Spaces limited.
