Preparation for Employment courses are designed to help you learn skills for a specific job or area of work.
What this course is about:
This is a practical, hands-on course designed to equip job seekers with the digital tools, strategies, and confidence needed to navigate today’s competitive job market which will provide you with a clear roadmap to employment. With a strong focus on creating a CV/cover letter, a professional LinkedIn profile and mastering online job search techniques, this course helps participants build a strong online presence and leverage digital platforms to uncover hidden job opportunities.
By the end of the project, you will achieve some if not all of the following:
Compile/enhance a CV to assist with my job search.
Compile a cover letter to assist with my job search.
Develop a LinkedIn profile that highlights my experience, skills and career goals to attract.

Engaging and/or building confidence courses are designed to help you feel more confident in yourself and your abilities.
What this course is about:
Engaging and/or building confidence (EBC) provision is aimed at adults aged 19 and over, with low levels of confidence, which may be preventing them from meeting their aspirations. The programme should help realise the potential of learners and develop their knowledge, behaviours and skills in order to progress further.
A relaxed, gentle, and friendly space designed to help you build your self-esteem and communication skills with Riz and Jude. It’s a great way to connect with others, practice conversational skills, and grow your confidence over a warm drink.
What other skills might you learn: Engaging and Building Confidence (EBC) provision helps adults aged 19+ with low confidence to develop essential skills, boost self-esteem, and explore learning or work opportunities.
Through a combination of tutor led activities, group discussions and interactive exercises, learners will develop stronger self-esteem and assertiveness skills in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Health and Well-being courses are designed to help you improve or take care of your physical health and/or mental health and wellbeing.
What this course is about:
This course is designed to provide a relaxing and creative outlet for adults, focusing on mindfulness. Unwind, destress, and improve your mental wellbeing with Jacqui, through simple, calming, and creative drawing techniques. No prior artistic experience or “talent” is needed—just a desire to relax and clear your mind in a supportive space.
The course aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can express themselves, learn new skills, enjoy the health and therapeutic benefits of painting and learn about new artists.
By the end of the course, you will have improved in at least one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing listed below:
● Connect with others – building relationships and reducing isolation.
● Be active – engaging in physical activity to boost mood and health.
● Take notice (be present) – being mindful and aware of surroundings and feelings.
● Keep learning – trying new things to build confidence and skills.
● Give to others – helping others to build purpose and self-worth.

● You will learn skills, focused on emotional awareness and self-reflection, such as exploring colours to understand your feelings, recognizing artwork from different artists that creates emotions, and tracking how the painting and mixed media process influences your health, wellbeing and stress levels.

Students can continue to build their artistic skills in new mediums, deepen their personal mindfulness and movement practices, attend new courses or engage in employment, community groups or volunteering to maintain their wellbeing improvements across the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
