Learn to Patchwork

Thursday 7th February 11am-1pm for 7 weeks

Fee £42/retired:£11.20/Low Income: Fee Exempt

£10 Materials

Come along and join the sewing revolution with like minded people…

You will start creating your own piece of patchwork, whether that be a quilt, a throw, a cushion or just a sewn piece of art.  You will learn the technique of English paper piecing – folding fabric over paper templates and hand sewing these together. Creating panels, using both traditional and modern patterns and starting with basic blocks of squares and hexagons and building to more complex designs, which can then be turned into an item of your choice. A great craft needing only fabric, paper, scissors, thread and needles.

We will supply the fabric but do bring your own if you have some you wish to use.

This course is suitable for all levels of sewing skills and those wanting to start sewing.

*Concessions available for the retired or if you’re on a low income or claiming income-related benefits.
